1. The Brau Beviale community is an established network

Beverage experts appreciate the friendly, professional atmosphere in Nuremberg and not only place orders and source information, but also use the opportunity to cultivate and extend existing business contacts and networks. And for all the hustle and bustle of business, the industry cultivates a rather seldom ritual in Nuremberg: people take time for each other and for a good discussion with partners, colleagues, friends or competitors to keep contacts active and exchange views.


2. Plenty to talk about – innovative and established products in Nuremberg

There are some 1,400 exhibitors of high-quality beverage raw materials, pioneering beverage technology, innovative logistics solutions and refreshing marketing ideas in Nuremberg. They meet around 34,000 visitors with money to invest. When asked about their reasons for visiting, half the BrauBeviale community in 2008 said they used their exhibition to update on new products. The top issues this year are undoubtedly innovations aimed at reducing and avoiding packaging, sparing resources and improving recyclability.


3. Although tastes and markets change, the thirst remains!

People will always drink – a fact that has a calming effect on the beverage sector particularly when times are difficult. Unfortunately, a large demand for body fluids does not as such mean smooth business in the European beverage sector. How do you convince consumers to buy a certain beverage category and ultimately your own brand? What are the markets of the future? Brau Beviale is the best opportunity to get ideas and tips.


4. Excellent taste – the world’s best beers

One of the highlights of Brau Beviale is the presentation of the noted European Beer Star Award, for which breweries from more than 30 countries entered 836 beers last time. The event is preceded by the world’s biggest beer tasting session. The award is initiated by Private Brauereien Bayern, an association of private breweries in Bavaria, and the German and European federations. The tasting is carried out by a jury of top experts, an independent body of well-known and experienced beer experts from all over the world. The tasting is not based on a technical laboratory analysis, but on an assessment from the consumer’s viewpoint and involving all senses.


5. We don’t blow our own trumpet – we let others judge

I’ve attended regularly since 1989. Whereas I mainly cultivate contacts in Nuremberg, four of my staff gather information about the rapid technical development.”
